In 2019, our son Nathan was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  DMD mostly effects boys due to the gene that makes a protein called dystrophin being broken. This protein normally keeps muscles strong and protects them from injury.  In Nathan's case, he is missing a gene called Exon 44.

Children with DMD have a hard time standing up, walking, and climbing stairs. Many eventually need wheelchairs to get around. They can also have heart and lung problems.

Join our fight to continue in spreading awareness and helping these boys and families to find inspiration to keep fighting!
